This past weekend we had the honor of having a visit from David Sasaki from Global Voices, his wonderful girlfriend Catherine and the health editor of the Global Voices site, Juhie Bhatia. Four youth from Park Hill — Garretson, Jimmy, Nate, and Nate’s cousin, the Golden Gloves champion, Marcus — joined us for some in-depth talks on the neighborhood and the realities of what life is really like in America. Of course the day wouldn’t have been complete without checking out the boxing ring and learning some techniques from the pro, Marcus. David even had the courage (or should I say nerve) to throw a few punches with Marcus.
Garretson and Nate are working on getting their videos up so look out for those. To be continued…

Hey ! David take it easy with Marcus before he punch you badly, cos I know Marcus dangerious in punching.
