Garmondeh Karnga’s Mighty Barrolle has made significant progress to being at pole position of the LFA premiership table after the Rollers edged Mighty Blue Angel 2-1 at the Nancy Doe Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County on Tuesday, September 22, 2009.
The red and white outfit’s top goal scorer, Weaka Wisseh rattled the net to equalize the score after the Rollers conceded in the early moments of the encounter when midfield lad, Wilfred Greenfield caused a penalty which was beautifully taken by danger winger Jerry Jimmy.
Wisseh and Gedi and Sons’ striker, Teku Nahn are now equal with 16 goals each at the top of the LFA premiership golden boots, but a goal for the former in the Rollers’ outstanding match could see him on top of the golden boots.
Barrolle’s midfield hero and deputy Captain, Little Lewis scored the match winner from a terrific placement that saw the Abgel’s goalie with no answer.
A win for Mighty Barrolle in her outstanding match against archrival Invincible Eleven (IE) will see the red boys at the top of the LFA premiership for the first time this season.
Meanwhile, Gedi and Sons and Devereux FC settled to a goalless draw at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia the same day.
