Hon. Keith K. Jubah, Chairman of the Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC) of the Republic of Liberia and President of the Rubber Planters Association of Liberia (RPAL), was brutally murdered on Sunday night, November 1, 2009, by unknown armed men, while disembarking from his vehicle at his resident farm (Morris’ farm) located at Kakata, Margibi County, Liberia.
His son, Prince Jubah, a student of Cuttington University, disclosed to Star Fm 104 on the evening of November 2, 2009 that Prince Kollie, a resident of Coca Cola factory in Paynesville, was the killer. The following day Prince Kollie told Star Radio that it was his brother Joseph Sackie, who killed Keith Jubah over a land dispute.
According to Presidential Press Secretary, Cyprus Wleh Badio, through the Daily Observer Newspaper, the President of the Republic of Liberia extended her deepest condolences to the family. She described Keith Jubah as one of Liberia’s most decent public servants who believed in the reform agenda of the nation. “And she will ensure that those who killed K. K. Jubah will not go unpunished. Right now the Liberia National Police have arrested Abel Bondo and James Linka, who were alleged in the murder and the Police are still in-search of the third suspect.”
The killing was allegedly based on vindictiveness given that the act was committed by three employees apparently disgruntled as a result of their recent dismissal, said Mr. Badio.
Honourable Elizabeth E. Hoff, Acting Minister of Information for the Republic of Liberia, warned that the government will not tolerate acts of lawlessness and absolute disregard for law and order and the rights of others.
